Many Hospital Acquired Conditions Subject to Non-Payment by Medicare/Medicaid

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid has identified a number of hospital acquired conditions as unacceptable and subject to non-payment. These are somewhat aligned with the National Quality Forum’s list of “never events” that by definition absolutely should not happen while in the care of a hospital.
